About this incentive

Each building must remove gas appliances and install heat pump space heating, heat pump water heating, electric or induction cooking, and an electric dryer.
Total rebates up to $3,350 through base payments plus stackable bonuses and per‑unit infrastructure credits.

Base: $2,000–$2,200; add-ons: heat pump dryer $250, electric infrastructure $600 per unit, induction cooking $500.
Advanced‑technology bonuses available (examples: induction with battery $3,000; electrical load management $3,500; integrated HP space+water $1,000); some bonuses require post‑installation dates.
Must remove gas appliances; properties may enroll one building at a time. Income requirements: none specified.

Multifamily - Each multifamily low-rise building (three stores or fewer) must remove gas appliances and install heat pump space heating, heat pump water heating, electric or induction cooking, and an electric dryer :

Multifamily Deed Restricted/Low-Rise/ADU Whole Building Electrification Alterations: $2,000 - $2,200 HP Dryer Bonus: $250 Electric Infrastructure Upgrade Bonus (per unit served): $600 Induction Cooking Bonus : $500

Additional Advanced Technology Bonuses available to projects installing after May 1, 2025

Other requirements: The program does not accept projects converting from propane to electric.

To qualify for 2025 incentive levels, projects must submit an application by November 3, 2025. Projects completing construction between November 4 and December 31, 2025 may still be eligible for program incentives.

Program funds are limited. Incentives are available on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are no longer available.
