Electrify LA: Accelerating Home Decarbonization via Group Purchasing
Wed, Apr 15th•4:00pm
Host: Elephant Energy
Join Elephant Energy, iChoosr, and Simply Solar for a session on how group purchasing can accelerate adoption of heat pumps and solar. What would it take to unlock large-scale home electrification across Los Angeles? We’ll explore how coordinated, community-driven models can move beyond pilots and into real, repeatable deployment—and why this approach is critical for partners: aligning stakeholders through group purchasing, reducing customer acquisition costs, creating predictable demand for installers, and enabling utilities, municipalities, and community organizations to scale impact together rather than in silos. Who are the hosts? Elephant Energy is a turnkey home electrification provider, serving as the end-to-end delivery partner—managing customer engagement, system design, pricing, incentive processing, and high-quality installation through a vetted contractor network. iChoosr is a global leader in group purchasing programs, helping communities aggregate demand to unlock competitive pricing and connect homeowners with trusted installers at scale. Simply Solar is a full-service residential and commercial solar installer serving Southern California, including the Los Angeles area. Based in Rancho Cucamonga, they manage the entire process in-house—from design and permitting to installation and monitoring—delivering high-quality systems with experienced, non-subcontracted teams. Space is limited to 40 participants to keep the session interactive and discussion-driven. Register early to secure your spot. What we’ll cover: How group purchasing (bulk buys) unlocks demand, lowers costs, and simplifies the homeowner journey The roles of municipalities, utilities, community-based organizations, and implementation partners in program success Lessons learned from Colorado and other markets How heat pumps and solar can be bundled into a cohesive, scalable offering What it takes to stand up a program in Los Angeles, from partner alignment to launch
