Join Elephant Energy, iChoosr, and Simply Solar for a session on how group purchasing can accelerate adoption of heat pumps and solar. What would it take to unlock large-scale home electrification across Los Angeles? We’ll explore how coordinated, community-driven models can move beyond pilots and into real, repeatable deployment—and why this approach is critical for partners: aligning stakeholders through group purchasing, reducing customer acquisition costs, creating predictable demand for installers, and enabling utilities, municipalities, and community organizations to scale impact together rather than in silos. Who are the hosts? Simply Solar is a full-service residential and commercial solar installer serving Southern California, including the Los Angeles area. Space is limited to 40 participants to keep the session interactive and discussion-driven. Register early to secure your spot. What we’ll cover: How group purchasing (bulk buys) unlocks demand, lowers costs, and simplifies the homeowner journey The roles of municipalities, utilities, community-based organizations, and implementation partners in program success Lessons learned from Colorado and other markets How heat pumps and solar can be bundled into a cohesive, scalable offering What it takes to stand up a program in Los Angeles, from partner alignment to launch

You've heard heat pumps are the future. Maybe your neighbor got one. Maybe you're sick of your gas bill. Maybe you just want AC. But then you started researching and hit a wall. Which system is right for my house? How do I know if a quote is fair? How do I find a contractor I can trust? This session is for homeowners who've decided they want a heat pump, but don't know where to start. What we'll cover (in plain English): What to expect from your first contractor call to installation day How to read a quote without being a mechanical engineer Red flags to watch for (and green flags too) Permits: boring but important (and we'll tell you why) Your burning questions, answered live Who's leading this: Shreyas isn't your typical HVAC guy. He's a mechanical engineer, a former rocket engineer (yes, actual rockets), and a licensed California HVAC contractor. Why should you care? Because most homeowners only ever talk to salespeople. Shreyas is the rare contractor who can actually explain why one system makes sense over another, not just push what's on the truck. He writes obsessively about heat pumps and has seen every kind of install: the great, the questionable, and the "who approved this?" He'll tell you what he'd do if it were his house. Who's this for: Homeowners who are heat pump-curious but decision-paralyzed Anyone who's gotten a quote and thought to themselves..."How do I read this? Is this right?" People who want to electrify without getting burned by a contractor The details: 45 minutes, with live Q&A Recording available afterward Grab your spot. Bring your quotes. Bring your questions. Get pumped. Celebrating CA Heat Pump Week and Earth Day in partnership with Switch Is On.
