Overview
These courses provide a foundational overview of TECH Clean California, information about the incentive submittal process, and participation in TECH Clean California partner programs including HEEHRA rebates and Central Coast Community Energy’s “Electrify Your Home”.
Complete the minimum required courses based on which program you are pursuing enrollment. The target audience and description for each course is listed below.
Required for ALL TECH Clean California enrolled Contractors:
TECH Clean California & Iris - The first portion of this course provides a general overview of the TECH Clean California initiative. The second half provides a walkthrough on how to navigate the application portal, Iris.
Required for TECH Clean California Contractors installing Heat Pump HVAC:
TECH Clean California - Single Family Heat Pump HVAC
This course provides an overview of the requirements for the TECH Clean California single family heat pump HVAC incentives. Furthermore, it includes information about the PNNL Quality Installation tool that must be used to collect nameplate photos when HERS testing is not required.
Single Family HEEHRA Rebates Reopen for Reservations
HEEHRA single family rebate reservations are currently available statewide for all single family projects where the customer already has an approved HEEHRA income verification. No new income verification applications are being accepted at this time.
All HEEHRA single family rebate reservations approved on or after October 15, 2025, will be required to complete the heat pump installation by the end of the day December 31, 2025. A claim with required documentation must be submitted in Iris by the end of day February 28, 2026.

TECH Clean California - Single Family Heat Pump Water Heaters
This course provides an overview of the requirements for the TECH Clean California single family heat pump water heater incentives, including demand response, time-of-use, and water heater rewards enrollment requirements.
