Overview

These courses provide a foundational overview of TECH Clean California, information about the incentive submittal process, and participation in TECH Clean California partner programs including HEEHRA rebates.

Complete the minimum required courses based on which program you are pursuing enrollment. The target audience and description for each course is listed below.

Required for ALL TECH Clean California enrolled Contractors:

TECH Clean California & Iris - The first portion of this course provides a general overview of the TECH Clean California initiative. The second half provides a walkthrough on how to navigate the application portal, Iris.

Required for TECH Clean California Contractors installing Heat Pump HVAC:

TECH Clean California - Single Family Heat Pump HVAC

This course provides an overview of the requirements for the TECH Clean California single family heat pump HVAC incentives. Furthermore, it includes information about the PNNL Quality Installation tool that must be used to collect nameplate photos when HERS testing is not required.

Single Family HEEHRA Rebates Fully Reserved in Central and Southern California

As of January 7, 2026, HEEHRA rebates for single family homes in Central California and Southern California are fully reserved. All reservation requests for projects in the Central and Southern regions that were not approved prior to January 7 have been put on a waitlist. Reservations submitted after January 7, 2026, will also be put on this waitlist. Waitlisted projects are only eligible for a HEEHRA rebate if the heat pump is installed after the reservation is approved. Northern California is expected to be fully reserved in February 2026. Income verifications are only accepted in the Northern region as of January 2, 2026. You can find your region on this table of counties by HEEHRA budget region.
